IEP - Individualized Education Program

What is IEP? IEP Stands for Individualized Education Program. The IEP is the cornerstone of a quality education for each student with a disability. To create an effective IEP, all school staff and the student must come together to look closely at the student's unique needs and goals.

Students on IEP will be put into Special Day Classes (SDC)
Our Special Day Classes are limited to: Physical Education 6 (Regular PE), Math Basic, Elective of Choice, Reading/Language Arts Basic, Social Studies Basic, and Science Basic. These Courses are designed to help all IEP Students to have a chance to succeed.

What is a Special Day Class (SDC)? SDC's are Full-day classes for students with learning disabilities or any other problems. Classes are taught by certified special education teachers here at Itliong-Chavez Middle School.
