What is a 504 Plan? The 504 Plan is a plan developed to ensure that a student who has a disability identified under the law and is attending an educational institution receives accommodations that will ensure their academic success and access to the learning environment.
Students in the 504 Plan will be put in Regular Classes but will have less work. Students in the 504 Plan also have the option to get out of class and go to their Counselor if they feel so. Students will need to ask their teacher's permission if they're feeling scared to go to class or they don't want to do an assignment. Teachers will then need to write a pass to let students go to there Counselor. If teacher's aren't doing what the 504 Plan follows, Teacher's will have a meeting with an administrator.
